SLAB TORCH CUTTING MACHINES

A.L.B.A.’s torch cutting machine designed to be used in CC plants for cutting slabs are well known for their reliability, ruggedness and short cutting times. They can work in full automatic, semi-automatic or manual mode achieving the best performances as well as cutting results.

The machine is equipped with 2 high performance high speed water-cooled torches type ALBACUT with integrated pilot flames for normal cutting, granulating system, fluid control system, measuring system and all the other necessary equipment and safety devices. The machine moves on 4 wheels (2 loose wheels + 2 driven wheels).

The machine structure, clamping system, torch holding trolleys and torches are water cooled by a controlled flow and protected against sparks by heat shields and provided with automatic centralized greasing system for easy maintenance.

Designed and manufactured considering all the necessary conditions in order to avoid risks for personnel and plant during the use and maintenance of the machine, it will be equipped with all the required safety devices according to all international standards. The machine is based on a proven technology with high reliability and low maintenance and is specifically developed to offer high performances in heavy industrial environments.

FOUR DIE FORGING

A Four-Die Forging Device is a universal forging tool combining the advantages of radial forging method implemented on radial forging machines (RFM) and conventional two-die forging method implemented on hydraulic forging presses.

THE FDFD ARE AVAILABLE IN TWO OPTIONS

BENEFITS OF THE FOUR-DIE FORGING DEVICE

  • 1.5 to 3 times higher forging output as compared to conventional two-die forging method on a press

BANDSAW MACHINE

The Gantry features a fixed table and moving head designed for cutting very large, heavy material. This machine allows for vertical, horizontal, and angle cuts without having to move the material; ideal for ingots and forgings as well as large blocks of steel. Typical usage would be to cut plate horizontally from large blocks, to rough out holds to vastly reduce machining time, and more recently rough out frack blocks prior to machining.

The flexibility of the moving head and rotating blade guides, along with the 360 turntable, you can easily make up to 9 cuts with a single set-up

One of the main advantages of this vertical bandsaw is the cross-cut head with a wide throat capacity that allows cross cutting of large plates using a smaller blade than that of a tra- ditional horizontal bandsaw; therefore reducing blade costs. This can be achieved because the blade is cutting across the smallest cross-section; height rather than width.

The work table is equipped with heavy rollers that allow for easy movement and positioning of the material as required; saving operator time and costs. The AST is available in semi-automatic or fully automatic with shuttle.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES AND DESIGN FEATURES

  • Coke oven gas exhausters are single-cylinder, two-stage, with one-side suction units.

  • Case is made of cast iron, with horizontal and vertical splits.

  • Suction and delivery nozzles are turned down. Two impellers fixed on a shaft, diffusers and guiding vanes form gas flow path. Labyrinth seals separate compression stages. Asynchronous motors are as a drive.

DRUM CRYSTALLIZERS

They are designed for separation of well-to-filter concentrated suspensions with coarse and medium crystalline solid phase, rapidly losing fluidity, with about 50% solid phase content.

They are also used for separation of suspensions with medium abrasive solid phase basically consisting of crystalline products (ammonium sulphate, copper sulphate, copper vitriol, sodium chloride, sodium nitrate, potash, carbamide, alum, sodium sulphate), short-fibered materials (acetyl and ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose) and amorphous products.

This type centrifuges are widely used in chemical, metallurgical, metal mining, sugar industries and other branches of industry.

The advantages of this type centrifuges are the following: design compactness, easy of service, continuity of production process of suspension separation, possibility of sediment washing, high degree of drying, high efficiency, possibility to connect to automatic or continuous-action production lines.

BURNERS FOR EAF

A.L.B.A.’s burners for EAF are designed and manufactured in order to improve scrap cutting-down (ALBASUN series) and to supply additional heat to the electric furnace (SUPERMACH series). The water-cooled ALBASUN series burners are engineered to be installed on slag removal doors or on furnace walls and to be operated by a manipulator. They have a gas/oxygen crown outlet and they produce a long and very concentrated flame which allows to improve scrap cutting-down and electric arc stability. They produce an oxidizing and external mixing combustion with thermal capacity from 3 up to 5 MW.

The water-cooled SUPERMACH series burners are engineered to be installed on furnace walls. They have a supersonic gases outlet speed in order to avoid any possible flashback and to reduce tip obstruction caused by the slag. The high thermal capacity (from 2 up to 9 MW) and the very large flame size for wide surface heating allow a high heat supply to electric furnaces.
